I can’t say much about the food and usually try not to because I have really particular tastes. The only restaurant I have eaten at in years that I really enjoyed is Bellanico. But I liked Bocanova’s ambiance unlike the outside area of Lake Chalet. The service at Lake Chalet on the patio was bad as was the menu. (the inside has always been okay.) Anyway, what I did sample at Bocanova was fine.

Just read the piece on Bocanova in the Trib and am excited to check it out. But I think you may be confused about where TGI Fridays used to be. TGIF was kiddy corner from Barns and Noble, across from what was Jack’s Bistro. Maybe thats what you meant, it just seemed like you were saying that it was right next to Bocanova. Good read though. Thanks! More importantly, how was the food? DId you eat there?

Hmmm. Maybe the lower the profile the bigger the buzz…I am going to cruz Piedmont Ave. Saturday to check out the new places.

The restaurant that replaced JoJo is actually Commis, James Syhabout’s new project, which has generated a lot of buzz locally.
