By the way, the Oasis is in the clear after months of renovations to keep the city from shutting down the bar/lounge on 12th Street downtown. After being cited for a long list of violations, the club closed for renovations that the owners hoped would put them in the good graces of OFD, OPD and Barb Killey’s office. Didn’t quite work. But the City Council bucked the trifecta and decided not to pull the plug. Hopefully the owners will get the message and run a tighter ship without sacrificing any of the charm.
