DiFi digs into U.S. Attorneys’ ouster

The Senate Judiciary Committee will hold an oversight hearing tomorrow, aimed in part at discovering whether the Bush Administration plans to use an obscure section of the reauthorized Patriot Act to replace these prosecutors with “interim” replacements who in fact could serve until President Bush leaves office, without Senate confirmation.
