Political hatchet hijab

Apparently, much is being made of this photo of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-San Francsico, wearing a hijab in order to honor Muslim tradition while visiting the Ommayad Mosque in Damascus, Syria, on Tuesday:

I don’t recall complaints when First Lady Laura Bush donned a hijab when visiting the Dome of the Rock mosque in Jerusalem’s Old City in May 2005:

Ditto for when Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice wore one at a mosque in Dushanbe, Tajikistan in October 2005:

(Sorry for the low resolution on that last one; it’s from the Web site of the U.S. Embassy to Tajikistan.)

The difference is that the others that visited the Middle East did not represent themselves as setting U.S. policy. Pelosi did which is a felony. She should be removed from office and convicted. She is an air-headed delusional mistake.
