Would you authorize the funding of a vast army under the command of the President — while the President has the legal “right” to lock anyone up forever on his own say-so?

Restoration of habeas corpus would mean that the President wouldn’t have the “right” to lock people up without a trial. It should be a *prerequisite* for the defense authorization bill.
