Obama campaign hosts ‘Hip Hop 4 Obama’ night

In an pitch to persuade young people to register to vote on the deadline to register for the Feb. 5 primary election, the campaign of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, also an Illinois senator, is hosting a free event of celebrity and music at its Oakland headquarters Tuesday night.

The event features Hill Harper, a former Obama classmate and co-star of CSI-NY, and Bay Area hip hop and reggae artists.
