Now, THAT’s an endorsement!

from-left-mickey-hart-bob-weir-bill-kreutzmann-and-phil-lesh.jpgGrateful Dead alumni Mickey Hart, Phil Lesh, and Bob Weir, joined by Jackie Greene, John Molo, and Steve Molitz, will stage a “Deadheads for Obama” show this Monday night, Feb. 4, at San Francisco’s Warfield Theater in support of Barack Obama. This will mark the first time that the legendary band’s members have performed together since 2004, reuniting for this one-time-only event to lend support to Obama leading into the crucial Super Tuesday primaries the next day.

It’s doors at 6 p.m. and show at 7:30 p.m. It was $35 per ticket with a two-ticket limit per person, tickets are available only through… but it appears to be sold out. In fact, I’ve seen a report that the tickets were gone within 20 minutes.

But fear not: iClips will produce a live simulcast streamed via the Internet at about 7:30 p.m.

That’s so nice of you to promote Barack Obama.

Bill Graham must be smiling down on you.

I worked several of shows at the Shoreline Amphitheatre back in the 80’s.

And where will the simulcast be seen, is there an event planned?

SIRIUS Satellite Radio announced a short while ago that it will broadcast this show live on Grateful Dead Channel 32, beginning tonight at 7:30 pm PST/ 10:30 pm ET.
