McNerney hosts series of public events

If you have a hankering to talk to your congressman, Rep. Jerry McNerney, D-Pleasanton, will host a series of public events next week.

Here’s the schedule as provided by his office:

February 19: 1-2 p.m., Congress at Your Corner, Mountain Mike’s Pizza, 130 Hartz Ave., Danville

February 20: 1-2 p.m., Education Advisory Board Meeting, West Merrill High School, 1775 West Lowell Ave., Tracy (This his is second meeting with his education advisory board, made up of educators, parents and administrators from thoughout his district.)2:15-3 p.m., meet and talk with West High School students, West Merrill High School, 1775 West Lowell Ave., Tracy

February 21: 11 a.m., noon, roundtable discussion about the economy with Brentwood Chamber of Commerce and local leaders, Harvest Park Bowl, 5000 Balfour Road, Brentwood. (The discussion will focus on the impact of the economic stimulus package on Brentwood as well as the foreclosure crisis and the recently-announced Project Lifeline program to aid homeowners who are 90 days or more behind on mortgage payments.)
