Why is it when someone treats Americans as intelligent people who really want to look at issues the critics rush to condemn? I was grateful that Obama said what manyh know to be true and fear to voice. Instead of being critical of style or looking at voters maybe thinking we should actually look at what was said, look inside ourselves and finally reach out to make a change.

Speeches that are revered through time were not the easiest to present in their times. Yet, we admire the courage in hindsight. Maybe we should change that and admire what was said in its time.

His speech did nothing to help himself. In fact, it probably raised more questions. Like why would he say that about his grandmother? And for political purposes no less.

Do you really believe him that after 20 years he never heard any of the pastor’s diatribes? And he brings his two young daughters to be exposed to that??

This speech was better left unsaid; he lost credibility in my book.
