Hey Contra Costan,

Sorry, but I had to read your comments several times to understand what your point is. Anway, your web site link was a good one because it leads us to a list of people who really understand how overtaxed we are.

Californians are the most heavily taxed people in the country. And the only solution the Democrat dominated legislature can come up with in dealing with the deficit is to tax us more.

Do you understand what "tax freedon day" is? Well, California doesn't reach it until April 30, the last of all the states to do so.

Here is an interesting link: http://www.taxfoundation.org/taxfreedomday/

Give it a try and then tell us we should increase our taxes more. Right now we work 4 months to pay the heavy load. Maybe we should just turn our paychecks over to the government. At least that would take the burden off us of filling out all those convoluted IRS forms.

How typical. Republicans who loudly proclaim that the state has a spending problem are joining together to demand more spending.

When will someone ask Guy Houston to live up to his rhetoric and detail his proposed $8 billion in spending cuts?

Then we can see the education programs and county services he wants to devastate in the service of his embrace of radical D.C. conservative Grover Norquist's agenda. (See, for example, here: http://www.atr.org/content/pdf/2006/october/102506pr-ca-general.pdf).
