In the days before the June 3rd Election, Alameda County Republican Party Chairman, Paul Cummings sent out emails to Republican voters, in Alameda County, asking them to vote for Mr. Scherer, even though he had already passed away. Seems odd?

Now, while the Democrats work towards getting Obama into office, McNearney re-elected in CD 11 and Bucanan elected in AD 15... the Republican Party leadership is busy suing their own Republican volunteers.

I'm beginning to question Chairman Paul Cummings' tactics of "Building Our Republican Party". Resisting Republican volunteers elected to the Central Committee, by the voters, seems to be counter-productive to Party needs as we get closer to the November Election.

I'm sure that local Democrats will sit back and enjoy all of the problems that Chairman Paul Cummings has created for the Republican Party... but what can you expect from a self-proclaimed, "Liberal Republican"?

The Republican Party is shrinking and the Party leadership doesn't seem to care about it, one bit!

Way to go Chairman Paul Cummings, like the Democrats needed any more help winning elections, great job!

*You can get more info about the Chairman and his lawsuit being brought against the seven Republicans elected and certified to serve on the Alameda County Republican Central Committee here...

No ill-will directed towards Mr. Scherer but I must say, the Alameda County Republican Party has dug a huge hole for itself.

Chairman Paul Cummings can't manage to get any of his members to attend any of his meaningless meetings. Seems as though local Republicans are having a tough time getting behind poor leadership. Time for a house cleaning. No "Neo-Cons," No RINO's," and No more "Liberal Republicans" anymore! Can the real Republicans please stand up?

Maybe the new members on the committee will be able to turn things around for the local Republican Party. Then again, that might be wishful thinking. I'm a Republican, but I don't like McCain (or Bush) and O'bama Husain scares me half to death. Why must it always be the lesser of two-evils? Can sombody help us?

Dear Ernie,

I am so sorry for what has happened to you and Charlene. You were one of the nicest persons I had met in all of my years in politics. In my experience with you were a happy warrior. You fought hard for all of the issues and candidates you felt passionate about. And unlike many modern Republicans, politics for you was not blood sport. If I disagreed with you we were always friends when we ran into each other.

I remember the last time I saw you and Charlene at a Republican women’s BBQ. We had not seen each other in years and you and Charlene were as gracious as ever.

Ernie I am very sad that you are no longer with us I will miss you greatly.

With Deep Regrets,
