Lord knows, we could use the money around here.

But this event is a primarily a project of the Concord Chamber of Commerce, a nonprofit community organization that seeks to find and train business-friendly candidates to run for office.

As for equal time, I have in the past and am happy to promote on this blog and run briefs in the newspaper about any campaign training for candidates provided by political parties or other nonprofit groups from a wide variety of interests including business, the environment, etc.

But if no one provides me with a press release or a flyer or calls me and tells me about an event, I won’t know about it.

There are campaign schools all over the Bay Area. There was one in San Ramon last week and I think the Cal GOP is holding one up in Napa. How about equal time?
