Vorderbrueggen goes video!

Success! And on a Monday morning, too.

My test run of my new Flip video has produced positive results. I recorded a brief statement, edited it, saved it onto my computer, uploaded it to Flickr and embedded it below. Whew.

I’ll be using the Flip at the upcoming presidential conventions in Denver and St. Paul and need to practice the new technology. So far, it seems pretty easy. Unlike my colleagues who produce highly sophisticated, multi-media flash presentations, this device — the size of a small cell phone — allows me to post short interviews, sights and sounds and do some video blogging without too much fuss. I don’t want to spend a lot of time editing and fooling around with lengthy downloads/uploads.

I’m not sure I quite have the hang of the art of video yet. I needed to stand closer to the camera and you get a lovely shot of my garage door. My heels were unusually loud, too. But I’ll get better! Check it out below.

Lisa, Lisa, Lisa….you don’t video blog in front of your house unless you black out your numbers. What if you have a stalker? The flip is cool huh? I got one last year for Christmas. Still trying to remember to take it everywhere with me. Amazing the stuff you see when you don’t have it to record it. It looks good though, although day 2 was much better audio wise.
