Thanks … I think.

But I don’t think a new camera will help. The lighting isn’t great at my desk and I’m just not photogenic. I usually hate pictures of myself, although the makeup artist at KQED, David Clark, manages to do considerable magic when I appear on “This Week in Northern California.” I don’t even recognize myself.

I moved to the Bay Area 4 years ago from Denver. I’ve been amazed at how little local and state government information and records are available online here compared with there. A big exception to that is the availability of salary info, something that would not be available in Colorado.
