Glover outpaces Agopian in CC supervisor race

Incumbent Contra Costa County Supervisor Federal Glover continues to outpace his challenger Gary Agopian in fundraising, according to campaign finance reports filed this week.
Glover reported contributions of $40,000 between July 1-Sept. 30, bringing total fundraising for his re-election campaign as of Jan. 1 to $108,725. Glover had $61,834 in the bank.
Agopian collected $9,270 in the same time period, bringing his total to $29,323. Agopian had $4,489 in the bank.
Will more cash pour into this race? We’ll see. A great deal of the energy behind this campaign evaporated after the death of Erik Nunn, the candidate who was poised to run against Glover. Nunn died in a plane crash and Agopian, as third-place finisher in the June primary, found himself back in the race.

Duh….. Glover should smoke this guy. He deserves another term.
Maybe Agopian should have a sidewalk sale to raise more cash? Or stand out in front of Walmart with a cup!! You have to wonder why a guy like this would not run for a more achieveable seat!!

I’d give Agopian maybe 25 cents. It’s change you can believe in.

the only thing that comes up when I click either link (Agopian or Glover) to see their 460 reporting forms is a page of advertisements.
Has the elections Dept gotten around yet to putting these on line as they promised at the last election?

Pay no attention to the advertising. When I click the link, a screen comes up asking me if I want to open the file or save it to my hard disk. If you save it and then open it, you should be able to read it as a PDF or Adobe Acrobat file.
As for posting of the Form 460s online, no, it is hasn’t happened yet. The county election clerk had to postpone it due to budget cuts.

I see on Glover’s large 4×8 signs that he is now taking credit for the reduced home valuations & property taxes that County Assessor Gus Kramer has been giving out!!
I’m sure that Gus will be pleased to hear that; particularly considering what the Board of Supervisors did to his budget!

And despite the budget cuts, Gus Kramer, Sheriff Rupf and D.A. Kochly are endorsing Supervisor Glover. That says a lot for Glover.
