We include a flyer with each ballot telling the voter it requires $0.59 in postage.

If, by accident, someone puts insufficient postage on the ballot, we have a postage due account with the Post Office.

I strongly recommend that those voting by mail put appropriate postage on their ballot. If a vote by mail ballot has insufficient postage, that piece of mail is taken out of the mail stream, and goes to a clerk for hand processing. You do not want your vote by mail ballot to be late because it was held up by the Post Office.

I am afraid a lot of people will place one stamp on the ballot and it won’t be counted.
