Lisa, so sorry I missed you talk at CoCoTax – my inner problem had me staggering like a drunk (and I don’t drink). So glad you did a piece on Arne. If all public offices were populated by “Arnes”, we’d be the global paradise. We discovered we were both radio hams – and had done like Navy submarine duty (of course, he as a spook). He attended Acalanes in class between two of my brood. Graduated, then off to Navy – tremendous career, including picking up a degree in process. Wish every newsroom, editor’s chair and “beat type” were populated with a mix of Vorderbrueggens and Sorensons. Finally, don’t know if you watch Fox News Channel – you’re a ringer for Laura Ingle.

Lisa, you made me laugh since I retired from the Navy 21 years ago & the hair is a bit thinner and gray. But, the uniform still fits with no alterations, albeit a bit snug .

By the way, that’s my granddaughter Brooke alongside me, and that handsome guy & fellow sailor in front of us in the old Navy WWII blue “flat top” hat is Antioch Mayor Emeritus Pete Lopez!
