I wonder why Lisa didn’t call me. I am interested in running too.

I have been very active as a blogger in politics, live in the district and am still registered as a Democrat, even though my politics swing to the left of center.

I have been working on legalizing marijuana for years and could probably generate a lot of support. Lisa knows I am interested.

Buchanan will be unable to get any orginized labor backing for this seat, which will be the deathnell for her candidacy. Getting the backing of labor = votes, just ask Joe Canciamilla. If labor sours on you, like they soured on Canciamilla you are doomed if you are a Democrat trying to win a legislative or Congressional seat.
Additionally, if she runs for this seat she will provoke Miller and Pelosi, which would not be too bright if she is serious about a long term political career – they got a lot of power. Buchanon has been in the legislature a week and a half, she’s a little premature in her desire to go to DC. She needs to get some experience and wait her turn.
