Angry taxpayers will protest at several East Bay locations on Wednesday, which is also, and not coincidentally, Tax Day. The tea parties are part of a nationwide movement started by a conservative cable television commentator a few months ago.
If you are so inclined to join up, here’s a list:
Antioch: 4-7 p.m., Uno’s Chicago Grill, 4827 Lone Tree Way
Pleasanton: Noon-8 p.m., Amador Valley Community Park, 4301 Black Avenue. This appears to be the largest of the East Bay Tea Parties, which will be among hundreds of similar anti-tax protests scheduled for around the country. Scheduled speakers include San Ramon Mayor Abram Wilson and conservative KSFO radio will broadcast from the park. No word yet on what time the speeches will occur. Danville: Freedom’s Flame organization will protest at the intersection of Hartz Avenue and Diablo Road between noon-2:30 p.m. and 4-6 p.m.
Walnut Creek: Lamorinda Republican Women will gather at the intersection of Ygnacio Valley Boulevard and Broadway Avenue from 4-6 p.m.
