I attended the packed health care town hall meeting in Concord Saturday, with George Miller as the featured speaker. DeSaulnier was on the podium too. Since Miller has endorsed DeSaulnier, it’s no surprise that none of the other CD-10 wannabes was there. That suggests to me that DeSaulnier has got a pretty big head start (especially among unions and eligible Latino voters) that will be difficult for anybody else to overcome.

I’m sure Tiffany filed to keep Joan company, so she wouldn’t be the only woman candidate. I didn’t realize Rocky Sally, or Opie lived in CD-10; maybe they’re just other reverse carpetbaggers, like John G.

Other likely but undeclared candidates are Rocky Racoon, Sally Squirrel and Opie Opossum. Eminent scholars at UC-Berkeley maintain that it’s high time for humans to surrender their dominant, tyrannical place in society.
