As an Obama Democrat from the gitgo, I don't get it. Obama ran with the message that Iraq was the stupid war, and Afghanistan was being neglected. So, now, he is phasing out our footprint in Iraq on a timetable not much different from what was discussed in the campaign. And, as promised, he is putting more resources into Afghanistan, with emphasis on turning the tribal groups against the Taliban. So, what's the problem? If people didn't want this, they should have voted for Kucinich.

Why didn't all Republicans vote in protest, in that late night vote in 2002 to commit US Forces to invade Iraq, as Republican Ron Paul, and Democrat George Miller did then? We might have saved a trillion dollars, more military lives than were lost in 9/11,
a half-million civilian lives, and our Country's reputation for making the World safe for Democracy!
