Don’t knock up Tricky Dick, Lisa. According to this month’s “AARP Bulletin,” page 3, Nixon introduced a sweeping new and bold national health plan in 1971 that was strikingly similar to Obama’s today. Ted Kennedy opposed Nixon’s plan then, but in the “Boston Globe” last spring viewed it as a missed opportunity,
telling the paper, “We should have jumped on that.”

Here’s what’s scary about Nixon. For those of us who remember, it’s been 35 years! You’d have to be about 45 to have any sense of Nixon and probably over 50 to think in “Tricky Dick” terms. That is, indeed, a horrible likeness of “deficits don’t matter” Cheney.
