		<description><![CDATA[I think the FPPC is worse than useless: it undermines freedom of speech and freedom of association.

Imagine that you and a friend want to set up a web site about any topic related to politics.  Say lower taxes.  Or the environment.  

If you wind up spending $1000 in labor (your time in setting up a web page) or materials, you need to first file paperwork with the FPPC showing all your finances.
If you don&#039;t do it, they&#039;ll turn you into another Russ Howard, fining you millions.

Of course, they only do this to anyone who challenges the incumbent party viewpoints.
