Josh is correct in characterizing these books as being for the “already convinced.”

My experience is that 99.99 percent of the time these books are bought by people (from both sides of the aisle) to reinforce their already strongly held positions.

I can’t visualize someone getting up and saying, “By gar, I’m going to buy me a book to decide about this Obama characters.” It’s a done deal.

Of course, in such books, the left lies and the right is right.
