I am soooo disapointed. Tom would be a terrific governor. That is his strength. Boxer will bury him if he manages to get the republican primary bid. What a waste of talent and money and energy. If the Republicans would nominate him for governor he could raise the money for the general but he is being defeated by his own party and the radical right and they will never support him….ever. That is why so many of us have left the Republican party but still hope for a moderate to lead us.

Bit early to make predictions but I’d guess Campbell can handle Fiorina, especially in the Bay Area. I’m not sure how well he would do against DeVore in the rest of the state.

Tom is using his keen political sense– he knows he can’t beat Jerry Brown. He is too dumb to know that Boxer will paint him as a hopelessly extreme rightist. He isn’t, of course, but that doesn’t mean he will be able to convince the voters.
