I can tell just from looking at his photo that he is evil incarnate. He admitted to being a Communist? When was that? And what the hell is a Communist? Only in China and maybe Cuba does that word even have any meaning these days. I don’t know what Van Jones ever said or didn’t say about being a Communist. But it would be a bit strange for a guy who was 19 years old when the Berlin Wall fell.

“Disparaging congressional Republicans” is not even close to what made him controversial. He admitted to being a communist and signed a statement that the government was behind 911. He also made racist remarks related to pollution only occurring in black neighborhoods. He made racial remarks in connection with the Columbine shooting, as he said “Its only them (suburban white kids). A black kid might shoot another black kid, but he won’t shoot up the whole school.”

This guy is no great mind for solving energy problems. Throwing our tax money at solar, wind, and weather stripping registers very little towards energy independence. He deserves no award.
