Tuesday, March 16th, 2010 at 4:45 pm in healthcare reform, Jerry McNerney, U.S. House.
Protestors are rallying right now against the health-care reform legislation outside the district office of Rep. Jerry McNerney, D-Pleasanton, and the signs tell the tale:

The “crowd” looks a bit thin (numbers-wise, at least). Wonder how many of them voted for McNerney in the first place or would ever consider voting for him even if he had an epiphany and came out against the health care bill? Their protest doesn’t mean much if they were’t going to vote for him in the first place. I’ll bet few, if any of them have to depend on the predatory individual health insurance market for their coverage. I see some “God” signs but none saying “There but for the grace of God go I.” But maybe I’ve got it all wrong. Maybe that big “Throw the bums out” sign refers to Anthem-Blue Cross rather than to those who are trying to get health care reform passed.

As one of the congressman’s constituents (zip 95037-6311), I can say that I did indeed vote for him and I will be joining the group at:
5776 Stoneridge Mall Rd. #175
Pleasanton, CA 94588
On Saturday to add my voice to the request that he vote no on this healthcare bill.
