Are political ads like pornography?

Take a look at an analysis I did on political advertisements: are they like pornography? You know it when you see it? Well, with a lot of wiggle room in the law, it’s not such a sure thing.

Political ads are not like pornography. An attention-grabber of a lead sentence? Maybe in high school.

Another hit piece, still on the air, is PG&E’s attack on Prop 16, which says “We’re paying the bills for government run local electric service,” which doesn’t admit who’s paying the bills for the ads.
