@Patty NO'Brainer, Supporting the Patriot Act doesn't make you a patriot and being in favor of costly, undeclared wars doesn't sound very conservative.

You have a limited understanding of liberty and of the Constitution miss. Consider opening your mind to a view-point other than that of your own. Some Republicans don't approve of warrantless searches and invasions into their private lives, regardless of if it's related to our medical history, or our library records. That's what we get with the Patriot Act. What if some Republicans are beginning to question what ammounts to an unjust foreign policy where the American tax-payer pays to bomb bridges in foreign countries and re-build them, while our bridges are falling down at home?

Gary Clift for Congress all the way!

Patty,
I support our troops also, but I don't support the actions our Country took in invading countries of different culture than ours, from which none of the 9/11 terrorists came. We played into Al-Qaeda's hands doing so. That's the no-brainer. Under Clinton Fed Govt was 18% of GDP. Under Bush it went to 24% of GDP.
Fed, State & Local Govt. is projected to reach 60-80% of GDP, unless we reverse this course of invasion.

This is a very clever video! I’ve known Buddy for a long time. One thing that strikes me as the epitome of his character is his compassion toward his sister who has Down Syndrome. He always reminded his mother that she did not have to worry about Tracy when she was not able to do so. And any person that he was serious about had to make that same commitment. Buddy is a stand up guy and really cares about people. We deserve to have Buddy represent US and U.S.!!!!

Over the past five years I've become acquainted with Buddy (& Holly), Ive never met anyone as hardworking and generous with time to help serve others less fortunate than him.
We know he is intellectually astute. You have to be as a safe airline pilot for as many years as Buddy was. But Buddy also has the emotional and spiritual intelligence to do the right thing for us Washington.

I remember reading something written some time ago that began with "We the People...". Buddy strikes me as the kind of representative who would help move the emphasis back to "the People" instead of "We".My opinion is that most of the 535 elected congresspeople behave as if the wording in that old document applies to them only as the "We" part. Worse, they have allowed large corporations and special interest groups and their lobbyists a disproportionate stature above the voice of the People.
This year many more of us will use the ballot to have our opinions heard. Buddy, and morally sound others like him can overcome the "machine" of the status quo promoters. Voting for Buddy is your opportunity to give Washington a sense of the real truth of the hardships facing this district. As an indicator of a root cause of unemployment, you only need to go to Oakland Airport on a Monday morning to see a ghosttown where just a couple of years ago thousands of business people were flying to all parts of the country and the world in the interest of increasing commerce, improving education, and for the good of the public.
As a way to return to prosperity, I think we should elect Buddy and more real people like him. GO BUDDY!

Ralph,

It is a no-brainer for me. As a Veteran, I would never vote for someone like Gary Clift that publicly admits that he does not support the Iraq or Afganistan wars, OR the Patriot Act. If you don't support their mission, then you don't support the troops.

Anyhow, I think that is a cute video clip. Good job Buddy!
