No free beer for you

A Mediabistro blogger Tina Dupuy writes that GOP gubernatorial victor Meg Whitman had a no host bar at her victory party on Tuesday night in Los Angeles.
Whitman spent $70 million of her own money on her campaign and she can’t buy her volunteers, or more importantly, the press corps, a beer?

The press corps are notorious alcoholics.
Whitman is only trying to help them defeat their addiction.

She had a hosted bar at the State Republican Party in February. First one I’d ever seen at a Republican event! But, it was limited to two drinks per person. Press wasn’t invited. LOL

Look at her campaign finance filings and do a search for say, “wine” or “beverages,” and you’ll find pleny of “non-monetary contributions” for various events.
They booze it up with the best of ‘em, they just have their contributors pay for it.
