I’m glad he can communicate so effectively with his voters this way, and think of how safe it is for him AND the voters, in light of the attack on Gabby Giffords. I like seeing him in person because there’s no substitute for being there, and you don’t ever have the fear of being fooled by some old video being played and called live, trying to pull the wool over the eyes odf the public. But this is really using 21st century technology to everyone’s advantage. I am willing to accept it as live broadcast news on good faith from Rep. Garamendi. Now if I can just tune in to the next one, because I was shut out of the first one.

Sheesh. Okay. At the time this question originally appeared, Garamendi’s office did not have a new head shot available. The photos on his Web site were mostly group shots in a preset gallery and could not be downloaded. I found versions of them on Flickr but again, they were not in the correct format. The head shot on the top of his Web site is part of a larger graphic.

A staffer did send me a photo taken of Garamendi at an event but he had a funny look on his face. For fairness purposes, I try to use the members’ official congressional head shots.

I have asked Garamendi’s office again for an official headshot.

I can provide sources for an up-to-date photograph of JG instead of your using a twenty-year-old outdated glamor shot of him.
