My point was that, out of context or not, the spots, in my view, state a basic truth. Thus far, to my chagrin, Jerry has not discussed any ideas for fixing the state or brought much energy or urgency to his campaign. I voted for him for AG and made the maximum individual contributions to Obama’s primary and general election. But governance in this state is the worst I’ve ever seen among the 12 states I’ve lived in across the country. To get my vote, Jerry has to rise to the occasion and do much more than just be Jerry and be a Democrat. I don’t think I’m alone on that.

John W says the “ads are fair, even if they use out of context examples.” Is that a JOKE? You can make anyone look good or bad by taking words out of context…Comedians rely on that. Colbert even has a segment where he uses out of context quotes. You’ve got to be kidding me. Are you sure you’re not a Whitman supporter? Justifying out of context, misleading ads is justifying fiction in place of truth. Back to the days of W I guess…

I’m not a Whitman supporter, but the ads are fair, even if they use out of context examples. Jerry doesn’t need a 40-page plan. Those are worthless. However, he does need to (1) show that he has substantive ideas on what needs to be done to fix the state on a range of issues and (2) that he is willing to do battle with his own party (and mine) to tackle the problems. I had hoped he would come out of the primary season with guns blazing. Not seeing it.
