Calbuzz on GOP convention

I love Calbuzz but its witty posting today is particularly interesting.  Read what its venerable journalists Jerry Roberts and Phil Trounstine have to say about gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman and her appearance this weekend at the state Republican convention.

(And no, I’m not going. Newspaper travel budgets being what they are these days.)

Don’t be fooled by these two main party candidates. A vote of the people and for the people is a vote for gubernatorial candidate, Chelene Nightingale!

Nightingale — great qualifications! Per website — She’s Christian, goes on family vacations to Old Faithful and Mt. Rushmore, and dad served in the USAF. How could I ever resist voting for such a person? Can’t imagine why she’s not included in the debates!

Good question John W. Why is there a black out on Nightingale and other third party candidates from the debates? It’s got to be more than just not having a “D” or an “R” after their names. Is there something the “R’s” and the “D’s” are afraid of or is it simply easier to exclude them because how could they ever be qualified if they don’t have the “R” or “D” after their name? Again, good question.
