The Washington-based National Journal added the 11th Congressional District today to its list of top 60 races that could flip parties on Nov. 2.

“With less than two months to go until Election Day, the House Democratic majority is in serious jeopardy,” the Journal wrote. ” The economy — the issue this cycle — hasn’t recovered measurably enough for the public to give credit to the party in power, and nothing in the next two months appears as though it’ll turn that issue into a positive for Democrats.”

In ranking District 11 No. 60 out of 60 competitive races, the Journal called GOP challenger David Harmer a “strong challenger” to incumbent Democratic Rep. Jerry McNerney, saying the Republican could be a position to take advantage of the high-profile races at the top of the ticket such as governor and U.S. Senate.
