Re: #2 Bob Dobbs

Both Dem and Repub party insiders were against Prop. 11 in the first place, for obvious reasons. But I have not heard that Boxer has taken a position on repealing it. Do you have a source? I know Dem party insiders are opposed to the initiative that would extend Prop. 11 to Congressional districts. That's a bit of a different situation. Although, in principle, I favor that, I understand why party officials and electeds oppose it. Unless Texas does it too (Texas having roughly the same number of Congressional districts, only drawn in GOP's favor), California doing it amounts to unilateral disarmament. So, I'm undecided at this point.

Boxer just keeps slapping progressives in the face. On the one hand, she gives a dog-n-pony show at a "green jobs" company. And out of the other hand she announces that she's supporting -- personally, and with cash -- money to roll back the non-partisan reapportionment proposition, Prop. 11, that the voters voted in a couple of years ago.

Letting politicians set the legislative boundaries -- pick their own voters -- led to the gridlock we've had in Sacramento for ten years. Boxer wants the Dems to have "their turn" jiggering the elections in their favor. Let's GET IT OUT OF THE POLITICIAN'S HANDS FOR ALL TIME.

Boxer's first allegiance is to the well being of HER PARTY -- not you. Like most of the other California politicians. And I say that as a lifelong Democratic voter, now faltering in my conviction. Any good third parties out there?
