Worst stump speech ever?

By Lisa Vorderbrueggen

Wow. Check out this scary candidate speech by Phil Davison running for treasurer of Stark County, Ohio.

He must have swallowed a few too many of those energy drinks.

So, did he get the nomination?

  • John W

    No, he lost.

  • Mimi

I think he was just channelling a little Howard Dean.

  • Truthclubber

Hitler and Elwood would be proud of his communications style — “louder and wilder makes you righter” — something that fascists have always used as tactics.

I note for the record that this rabid dog, needing to be put down, is a REPUBLICAN from the HEARTLAND of AmeriKa.

  • Elwood

Toothsucker, every time they turn you loose you go off your meds again.

  • Truthclubber

Let me append that — “louder, wilder and quicker to respond and flame others makes you righter” — sorry for not updating this “fascist mantra” to the new digital age.

Note that Hellwad doesn’t have the self-confidence to admit that the wack job of this video espouses to be from the same political party as Hellwad — because that would force Hellwad to ACTUALLY reflect on what he believes.

  • Allen Payton

Alrighty, then! He must have been accused of not being a good Republican or something like that. Maybe he voted for a tax increase!?!

  • Elwood

Toothsucker, I know that this will cause you to have to be hospitalized again, but I’m a registered dimmiecrat.

  • Felix

Lisa, this video is hilarious! Thanks for posting it, I’ve shared the link with all my friends and neighbors.

I hope the other commenters calm down. I’m a Democrat but this video doesn’t mean Republicans are evil or wacky – it’s just one guy. Sheesh! Let’s all have a bipartisan chuckle and enjoy our Sunday.

  • rankin

He has a master’s degree in communication? Nooooooooooooooo

  • Lisa Vorderbrueggen

    Felix,
I agree. I didn’t even know he was a Republican until I went back and watched it again. It’s one guy with a bizarre delivery method. It is not a reflection on his party of choice.

    Re: #11

    See there, toothsucker!

    “Drastic times require what?”
    (Audience member) “Drastic measures.”
    “WHO SAID THAT?”
If I were the audience member I think I would have sprinted out of the room toot sweet in fear of what this unhinged guy might do to me!
    Awesome video!
