When I was in the Army in the late 1960′s, there were plenty of gay men and women serving, and nobody gave a damn. In fact, when they needed the warm bodies, the last thing they wanted to do was kick people out. What a waste of talented and authentically patriotic people!

To conservatives, this seems reasonable. To mention the DREAM bill and the “fundamental principle of fairness” in the same sentence is breathtaking.
