Well, if one wanted to wax philosophical, it could be argued that the League of Conservation Voters stands for conservatism in the true root meaning of the word (as in to “conserve”) more than some the quackery the Palin/O’Donnell/Buck/Angle/Bachman/DeMint Right is selling. In truth, “liberal” and “conservative” may serve as convenient team colors to identify the players, but they have lost their real meanings and grotesquely oversimplify matters.
