Saint Mary’s not picked for presidential debate

Saint Mary’s College was not selected as a site for a 2012 presidential debate, reports colleague Jonathan Morales.
That’s too bad.

Is it a back up site and/or could it be a Vice Pres. site?
Did they pick anything in the Bay Area / California?

VP debate site is Centre College in Kentucky. Backup is Washington University in St. Louis. Dominican University in San Rafael also applied but was not chosen.
