Actually learned something from Lisa’s comments — i.e., that the city and county can collect the $27 million from Chevron immediately rather than waiting for the outcome of any appeals or negotiations. I should have known that from the first day of last week’s Supreme Court arguments on the Affordable Care Act and whether the court could even review the law now due to the 1867 anti-injunction act. But, as Elwood noted on another post, the city and county would be wise not to spend the money just yet.
