From what I’ve read, RR’s comments seem accurate. I’ll be sure to stick to Khartoum on my next vacation to Sudan.

While Darfur and the disputed areas in the south are dangerous places, the capital of what’s left of the Sudan, Khartoum, is probably less dangerous than Oakland. The State Dept says serious crime in Khartoum is “infrequent.” Could the same be said of B. Lee’s base?
