While speaking in Iowa today, Mitt compared California’s financial predicament to Greece.

If by “la Clinton,” you mean our current Secretary of State, I can’t read Condi’s mind, only her words:

Rice, who has mostly shied away from the public sphere since the end of George W. Bush’s presidency, told Fox News’s Bill O’Reilly she thinks Clinton is doing a good job.

“Hillary Clinton is someone I’ve known for a long, long time. She’s a patriot. I think she’s doing a lot of the right things,” Rice said. “She’s very tough…and she’s got the right instincts.”

I think she’s doing a fine job,” Rice added. “I really do.”

End of exact quote. Story goes on to say Rice did express concerns about Iran getting closer to being able to produce a nuclear weapon and North Korea possibly destablilizing during a transfer of power (I’m pretty sure those were issues before Obama/Clinton took over foreign policy).

Back to exact quote:

But Rice did not lay blame on Clinton or President Barack Obama for the situation in Iran and North Korea, noting that “you’re always dealing with circumstances that are very difficult for the United States that has to lead.”

Sounds pretty positive to me. This story ran before the demise of bin Laden, but I’ll hazard a guess that Rice approved of that move.

Will she recall saying these things when she speaks in Tampa? Not likely.

Do you think she might be impressed by the awesomeness of the Ayrab and la Clinton?

It’s a bit hard to figure out why she would take on a political attack dog role at the convention, along with people like Haley Barbour and Huckabee. She’s not the type. May even have voted for Obama in 2008 — she wouldn’t say. She’s already been National Security Advisor and Secretary of State. Other than Secretary of Defense, there’s nothing left to do in a Romney administration. She can’t be very impressed with Mitt’s foreign policy/national security awesomeness. I’ll bet she already gets plenty of lecture gigs at $75-100k a pop.
