Contrary to my previous comment, I think I agree with your sentiment. Prosecutors say trying him as an adult was not an option for this crime. If he is convicted, they could hold him until 21.

I believe that anyone with half a brain (not sure this includes Rosen or his parents) should know that driving 70mph on city streets and weaving in and out of traffic constitutes reckless disregard of human life and should be punished severely, not just a couple of years at the Byron ranch, max.

Elwood, the DA’s office must have read your post on the Rosen case. Arraignment today. Vehicular manslaughter. Being tried in juvy court, to the disappointment of the victims’ family and friends. Probably appropriate, since this was not intentional or premeditated.

Not exactly on topic. But I’d be curious about that too. The most recent online item that I found was that the Concord police recommended he be charged with vehicular manslaughter. That was in June. Four months? Wow! Seems like an easy prosecution.
