I used to spend a lot of time in Salt Lake on business when Rocky Anderson was mayor, and I had a lot of respect for him. He was a very progressive, independent-minded person in a place where you wouldn’t expect that type of individual to be politically viable. He had a top-notch legal career too.

Not at all.

Having obtained my accelerated training on the subject of Ockams razor from the University of Wikipedia, my understanding is that the the concept doesn’t really work if the quality of evidence supporting the supposedly simpler hypothesis is substandard compared with the more complex hypothesis. I consider the points I made in the previous posting (laughable ghetto speak and no affirmation by even Fox News) to be a type of forensic evidence superior to anything supporting your hypothesis. Besides, I don’t consider my hypothesis to be especially complex.

Ockham’s razor! Impressive. Had to look that one up.

Only one succinctly stated hypothesis — namely that, based on the available evidence, the emails in question were authored by people making a feeble attempt to make it appear that liberal Obama supporters (especially smack-talking blacks from the hood) are making threats.

Evidence is the comical white wingnut effort to imitate aforementioned smack-talking blacks from the hood. Secondary evidence. Fox News not making a big deal out of it. Actually not even talking about it.

Why would you assume that Obama supporters or Romney haters are the source of these ridiculous “threats?” Logic would suggest just the opposite — that it is Obama haters or political dirty tricksters. Either way, it is disgusting stuff. Should be removed from Twitter.

Given the volume of daily “threats” by all kinds of whackos, political dirty tricksters and, occasionally truly dangerous types, the Secret Service can’t possibly go to DEFCON 1 for every online brain fart. However, I’m confident that, based on decades of experience, they have the means and determination to properly assess each one and then to proceed accordingly.
