Re: #4

There's that old expression that "you can't replace something with nothing."

Although I'm a lifelong Democrat, I have a long history of voting for both Republicans and Democrats for state and local offices, from governor on down -- with my preference being for intelligent, moderate, problem-solving pragmatists, regardless of party. A Chris Christie or Mitch Daniels Republican (or independent) would easily get my vote for governor in CA. I would love to see a strong challenger, Republican or independent, run against Jerry Brown in 2014. I see little chance of that happening.

This year, I voted for the Republican opponents to Mark Desaulnier and Joan Buchanan -- not because I knew anything about those opponents or expected them to have any chance of winning -- but as a protest over the business-as-usual insanity in Sacramento. But, generally speaking, I won't vote to toss out an incumbent just because he or she is the incumbent. The challengers have to convince me they would be better.

I cannot believe Feinstein,Boxer and Pelosi is still to this day is in office. It would have too be because of the Demo area's in California, Los Angeles and San Francisco with majority of the ppl most Democratic. The Valley area of Calif are Republican. What ppl don't understand yet this the subject "Water Wars" with Central and Southern California. Feinstein, Boxer and Pelosi are all for sending down water from Northern California to the Agra Industries. The man beyond this is Stewart Resnick (Owns 181,000 acres on the westside of Interstate 5. Look his name up thru Googles. Feinstein is in with him. Who's going to pay for this canal south starting around Freeport that cost 13-16 billion dollars (thats the basic cost), the Tax payer, you and I. The Agra won't pay for it. Heck, they still owe the State for the building of San Luiso Reservior near Hwy 152 and Int 5. The people of California are getting suck in by these three Politic figures. All three should be voted out of office. By the way, all three are over 80. Question for the Voter's? Do you think they still have all their marble together...I'd say NOT!!!!

Feinstein will win re-election handily, but most Californians don't really want to see her re-elected. In the June election, Feinstein won just 49.3% of the vote. A majority of Californians want her gone. In June, she didn't break 50% in any inland county, aside from the Bay Area and Yolo County. Feinstein won a majority in just the Bay Area plus Yolo, Mendocino, Humboldt, Monterey, Santa Cruz and Los Angeles counties. Plus she can't even manage her own campaign finances, which were stolen. How can we trust Feinstein to manage the trillions of dollars in the national budget when she can't manage her own campaign account? So if Feinstein wins with 60%+ in November, it won't be an authentic landslide. Most Californians tried to vote her out in June.
