Congressman-elect Swalwell hires district director

East Bay Congressman-elect Eric Swalwell, arriving in Washington today for a House freshman orientation, tweeted his announcement of a significant staff hire:

To deliver responsive constituent services, I’ve hired Shannon Fuller as #CA15 District Director. Her organization & vision is what we need.

New #CA15 District Director Shannon Fuller is a Bay Area native, a mom, has worked for @EllenOTauscher & @JerryBrownGov, and loves cooking.

Fuller, 39, of Orinda, has a LinkedIn profile that says she was a finance director and fundraiser for Taucher’s campaign from 1998 to 2000, and a scheduler in Rep. Ellen Tauscher’s office from 2001 through 2004; Swalwell interned in Tauscher’s office in 2001.

The profile also says Fuller was an executive assistant to Jerry Brown’s campaign manager for five months in 2010, and this year served as finance director of Swalwell’s campaign. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of San Diego.

Fuller also is a former Orinda Parks and Recreation commissioner, and has been a member of the Lamorinda Democratic Club.

Pelosi held an event Tuesday to introduce the newly elected House Democrats — about 50. It was on CSPAN. I noticed Eric Swalwell was stuck in the back row.

After the event, Pelosi and other House Dem leaders mingled with the newly elected members. But I didn’t see them mingle with Eric.

No, of course not. Pelosi backed that senile old fart Stark.

I’m so excited that Pelosi has decided to put her name forward for “leader” again.

Lead on, General Pelosi, lead on! On to worse and worse defeats.

The flipping audacity of that woman!

    “Stuck in the back row”…

Uh, there was about 14 in the front row, and about 23 in the “back row”…

I suppose Pelosi has it in for the majority in the back row? Even the Democrats?

Tell me about it in 15 or 16 months before the 2014 primary.

Mean while, Pete is back home in Maryland, doing what he always does.
It was NOW or two years from now. Swalwell took his chance and should be commended for it. Says something about him and about the others who were scared off.
