About Political Blotter

Matt Artz is the Bay Area News Group’s new state and federal politics reporter. He spent several years sitting in close proximity to the guy who had last covered this beat, so he knows he’s got big shoes to fill.

While Josh was busy posting  the tackiest Schwarzenegger movie clips ever uploaded to YouTube, I was writing about Fremont and then covering Oakland City Hall. My most recent beat was the A’s and Raiders’ stadium saga. That was a breeze since nothing ever changed.

This should be more of a challenge. A few clues about my own politics:  I’m a vegetarian, and I rely on my wife to put stuff together and fix things. I also have an extensive water gun collection.

Hello, Not sure how to start this but I want everyone to know that California has thwarted the implementation of Prop 13. Prop. 13 is only for sales between buyers and sellers who use a realtor. Private buyers and sellers are exempt. Got me for $75,000.00 of value. Please see section 110 of the Revenue and taxation code, which was repealed on July 1, 1979 and then reinstated in the code. I have documents on this. Greenwrench
