Mission Viejo No. 1?

Today in the Times, we take a look at Mission Viejo’s football program and examine how it has become the top program in the state. Does De La Salle have a chance to regain that top spot in the future? Or will Southern California powerhouses rule the state for years? Please let us know your opinions.

I’m not sold on the Diablos as pretenders to the DLS throne. In fact, if you check out my Forecast post today, you’ll see that I predicted the Spartans would go down south and spoil Mission Viejo’s undefeated season.
I think Ladouceur, Eidson and the Spartans created a special environment at De La Salle, one not easily duplicated at any other school — public or private.
Let’s not go planning the coronation just yet. 151 is still a long way off…
