For this week, we're all wishing big Bill the best and we hope he rights the ship soon.

A quick plug for this week's action. The ACCAL hits its pinnacle tonight at Contra Costa College as Pinole Valley will take on Alameda. PV comes in undefeated in league and the Hornets have only one loss to Berkeley. This is going to come down to the team who is better able to work through the air and, quite frankly, I can't tell which will prevail. Smart money would have said PV but if you saw the way Alameda put it up last week, you too would think that their passing game is rounding into shape. This is going to be one you'll want to see in person.

And somehow, the football gods have gotten it right again with DLS playing Pittsburg for Coach Lad's 300th win. I can think of no other team I'd rather see play in this type of game, especially since Pitt has been playing well lately. That's gonna be a good one as well.

Anyway, only a few hours until kickoff for some games. We'll see all of you on the girdion.
