After attending the De Anza/Richmond basketball game last Tuesday, it was obvious that Richmond does possess a great frontcourt with the likes of McKines and Arnold, however, there guard play must improve drastically. They have no true point guard and even had to rely on Arnold handling the ball on several plays. They were lucky to sneak away with a 1 point victory after trailing by double digits at halftime. De Anza looked solid with Darius Foster and Michael Johnson leading the way. Richmond high did not beat them, De Anza simply let the game slip out of their hands and I expect De Anza to win the remainder of their ACCAL schedule and receive the automatic berth in the North Coast Section playoffs.
